Disability-Led Screen Consultation

Friday 23 November   4.00pm – 6.00pm

Nebula located at The Coopers Malthouse courtyard

113 Sturt Street, Southbank

The Other Film Festival presents a disability-led screen consultation. Tell Your Story about screen and disability. Your stories and ideas will inform a renewed National Arts and Disability Strategy.

Facilitated by Fiona Tuomy – Executive Producer, The Other Film Festival and Gaelle Mellis – Disability Strategy Executive, South Australian Film Corporation.

This will be an opportunity for new, emerging and established screen practitioners and performers with disability to be at the centre of an important screen conversation.

The National Arts and Disability Strategy covers all of the creative and cultural sector — all art forms and venues including Film, Screen and Virtual Reality, Games and Games Development, Cinemas etc

The goal of the National Arts and Disability Strategy is to maximise the opportunities for people with disability to experience full inclusion in cultural life. It aims to improve access to and participation in the arts by people with disability. Given the changes in both the arts and disability sector in the last 10 years, it is now timely to renew the original National Arts and Disability Strategy.
